You can walk or cycle right from our front door, from gentle strolls to serious exertions. But that's just the start, our area has so much to do that you'll find yourself coming back time and time again.

With footpaths leading directly from Three Wells, walkers can enjoy a gentle meander into Llandrindod Wells or get their hiking boots on and tackle the nearby Gilwern Hill, Careg-wiber Bank and Carneddau.

For cyclists there are a plethora of quiet country lanes and Three Wells is just off the 'Radnor Ring'; regional cycle route 25, which also includes various optional off-road sections for those who like it rough.

The area is also renowned for its rally-driving, off-roading and motocross. Further high-adrenalin activities are available in the Brecon Beacons, 30 minutes drive away, which is a UK centre for kayaking, white water rafting, climbing, gorge-scrambling and similar pursuits.

For more gentlemanly activites, Llandrindod Wells boasts an excellent 18-hole golf course just a 10 minutes walk from Three Wells; while the nearby River Wye is a sublime fishing location. If birdwatching is your thing, then you can sit yourself down on our Three Wells terrace, but if you feel the need to stir then Pentrosfa Mire Nature Reserve within easy walking distance is home to numerous rare bird species.

There are days out a-plenty to be had at Powis Castle, the Red Kite Feeding Centre at Rhayader and similar attractions, as well as the towns of Llandrindod Wells, Builth Wells and Hay-on-Wye.

And finally, if you feel the need to recover after all these hard activities, or if you simply feel like treating yourself, don't forget Llandrindod Wells' history as one of Britain's finest spa towns. The locals haven't lost their touch, and excellent spa and beauty treatments remain widely available.
