Lakeview Restarant Opening in August (20/07/2011)
Get ready for Llandrindod Wells’ new gastronomic sensation. The Lakeview Restaurant at Three Wells Hotel is open from August 2011, Thursday-Saturday, 6.30pm-9.00pm.
Chef Alison Curzon explained the idea behind the restaurant as “to cook delicious food that people will see as a little bit special and different from what they normally eat, served in a peaceful, ambient, setting and all at very reasonable prices.”
A three course dinner will cost around £20.00-£25.00/head, with dishes ranging from Smoked Haddock, Spring Onion & Saffron Tartlets to Mint Sauce Glazed Lamb Chops, and the menu will change to reflect the changing seasons. The current menu can be viewed here.
Dining is by reservation only – to book please call 01597 824427 or email info@threewellshotel.co.uk.

BBQ Summer Predicted (06/05/2011)
The spectacular weather of recent weeks shows no sign of abating. For the last 6 weeks or more we’ve been basking in glorious sunshine (Three Wells is a bit of a sun trap) and long-term forecasts suggest that summer could see more of the same.
Whilst Wales is renowned for its wet and windy weather, this has been little evidenced of late (in truth it is a poor stereotype at the best of times) and a new long-range forecast this week by climatologist Peter O’Donnell suggests that July and August will be hotter and drier than average across the UK.
In expectation of this we’re currently laying a new patio and have just invested in a collection of traditionally styled picnic benches and other patio furniture. So what better place to enjoy a classic UK summer than Three Wells Hotel, where you can sit all day long on our south facing terrace, enjoy an ice cool drink from our bar, and admire the local wildlife?
We’re currently offering 2 nights FREE in all bookings of 7 nights or more, so book today to make the most of a classic British summer*.
*Classic British summers usually see predictions of endless BBQ weather dashed by rain and cloud, but we’re due a good one, right?
Refurbished and Open for Business (13/04/2011)
Exciting news at Three Wells as our new look entrance, lounge and reception have received their first guests. With our restaurant also recently refurbished, our public areas are now delightful spaces where you can relax in style and comfort.
You can come and enjoy the new look Three Wells Hotel too by taking advantage of our fantastic special offers, including 2 nights FREE in summer holiday bookings of 7 nights or more. We also have some great Easter deals with up to 30% off – check out your preferred dates using the booking widget on the top-right of this page.
We’re now seeking to make improvements to our outside space ahead of the summer, and later in the year we will be beginning the refurbishment of some of our bedrooms, which will be an ongoing, rolling process.

Wonderful Wonderwool (13/04/2011)
It was great to see so many people in over the weekend for the Wonderwool show at the Royal Welsh Showground. The weather couldn’t have been better with glorious sunshine all weekend, so congratulations to all wool and yarn enthusiasts who made the event a success.
The Wonderwool Wales 2012 dates have been announced as 28-29 April, so book your Three Wells Hotel accommodation early to avoid disappointment. And yes, we will once again be offering ‘Harvey Woolbanger’ cocktails.
New Look Three Wells Hotel: Re-opening 8th April 2011 (27/03/2011)
We’re closed 28 March – 7 April inclusive while we undergo some major renovations. These are
1) Opening up of the entrance and lounge area to create a new lounge/bar space and improve the lobby/entrance area.
2) Removal of the old conservatory to improve the look of the front of the hotel and allow us to develop the outdoor space.
3) Construction of a new adapted ground floor room, which will cater for the needs of guests with mobility difficulties as well as being a lovely room in itself (and removal of the old stair-lift, which currently reduces the width of the main stairs).
4) Creation of a ‘snug’ bar area where the old bar currently is.
5) Refurbishment of the reception to provide more efficient use of space and a welcoming feel.
6) (already completed) Refurbishment of the restaurant to create a modern, stylish ambience.

We’re delighted to announce a range of special offers for the first half of 2011, which will ensure that you get the best possible value. Whether you like to book early or you prefer to leave it until the last minute, we’ve got just the deal for you.
Summer Holiday Special
2 nights FREE, when you book 7 nights or more (1 July – 30 September)
We know that while short breaks are great, they don’t always give you the time you need to relax and enjoy all that Mid Wales has to offer. But we also know that for families on a tight budget the price of a holiday adds up. That’s why we’re offering 2 nights free in all stays of 7 nights or more, which is a huge saving of up to £350 for a family of 2 adults and 2 children.
Weekday Business Bonus
Up to 25% off single occupancy on weekdays
As part of our drive to offer the best possible value, we’re offering savings of between 10-25% on all weekday single occupancy bookings outside of school holidays. Three Wells Hotel is close to the busy towns of Llandrindod Wells and Builth Wells, but far enough away (1.5 miles from Llandrindod Wells) that you can relax in the countryside and get a peaceful night’s sleep. Offer ends July 2011.
Spring Late Booking Specials
Huge savings of up to 30%
We’ve still got spaces in March, April and May and so we’re offering some incredible late booking deals of up to 30% off all rooms – a saving of up to £200 on a week’s stay. Discounts will vary depending on the date – search the dates you want using the booking widget on the top-right hand corner of this page, and see what deals you can find!
Forthcoming Developments (01/03/2011)
As part of our ambition to make Three Wells one of the finest small hotels in the area, we’re planning a series of developments to improve the property.
In early March 2011 we’re refurbishing the restaurant. During this period meals will instead be served in our extensive lounge bar.
In April and/or May 2011 we’ll be developing our ground floor room, refurbishing our lounge bar and opening up our entrance area to create a light, relaxing space. The work will take place in stages and the hotel will be closed for 3-4 days at a time during these periods. No existing bookings will be affected.
Throughout 2011 we will begin a programme of refurbishing and updating our bedrooms. This process will be ongoing and will continue into 2012.
We’ll be posting some photos in the gallery as soon as areas are redeveloped, and of course you can follow us on twitter: www.twitter.com/threewells.
New Website Launch (15/02/2011)
If you’re reading this, then you’ve already discovered our new website, www.threewellshotel.co.uk. We hope that the new website reflects our ambition to make Three Wells one of the area’s best small hotels, and we’ve included loads of content because we know that when you’re planning a break its important to have as much information as possible.
Not that this website is in any way a “finished article”. We’ll be updating and developing the content over the coming months; and adding images of the changing face of the hotel over the seasons. If there’s anything that you think is missing, or if you find any broken links or other “deliberate errors”, then please let us know by email to info@threewellshotel.co.uk. Thanks!
Under New Management (10/02/2011)
Ali, Jonny and Mike are delighted to announce that they are now the proprietors of Three Wells Hotel, taking over from Lynn and David who have run the establishment for the last 5 years.
We're aiming to develop Three Wells from the current bed and breakfast business to one of the area's finest small hotels. We now have a restaurant offering evening meals to residents and are planning a series of developments to make the Three Wells experience better than ever before.
However we can't do anything to improve Three Wells' finest asset – its stunning setting in the Radnorshire countryside, overlooking a gorgeous lake and an old medieval farmhouse.
We're now busy working hard to get everything ready for our first guests, and we look forward to seeing you soon.
